Summer Piano Intensive

The NYU Summer Piano Intensive brings serious young professionals and gifted student pianists to study and perform in America’s cultural capital, at one of the world’s most esteemed universities. The Intensive offers instruction and mentoring appropriate for young artists and college-age students focused on pursuing performance careers, as well as advanced high school students preparing for conservatory auditions and competitions.

Participants will have daily lessons with NYU Summer Piano Intensive Artist Faculty, as well as coaching on duo piano and four-hand repertoire.

A focus of the Summer 2020 session will be the intersection of music and the visual arts. Curated activities, including visits to collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Neue Galerie, and the Museum of Modern Art, will connect with our hands-on exploration of piano literature and performance practice. The two-week Intensive will feature performances by both members of the Artist Faculty and our student participants.
