London: Creative and Cultural Industries

Utilizing readings, lectures from leading UK academics and top arts leaders, and visits to important international cultural venues, students explore how and why the creative and cultural industries play a vital social and economic role in the UK. Throughout the two-week study abroad experience, explore the arts and culture scene through lectures delivered by local experts, on-site visits to world renowned cultural organizations, and conversations with experienced cultural leaders.

PAA Event Committee

The Performing Arts Administration Event Committee is our student group. It acts as a liaison between students, the program, and the greater Steinhardt community and offers opportunities for professional and academic development. The Committee helps organize a peer mentorship program, social events, and trips to shows.

NYU Arts and Culture Network

NYU Arts & Culture Network (ACN) is dedicated to exploring and appreciating the myriad arts opportunities throughout New York. Any NYU students are welcome to join. Performing Arts Administration program director Dr. Richard Maloney is the advisor of this student organization.

The Expert-in-Residence program is designed to bridge emerging arts leaders with distinguished professionals shaping today’s performing arts landscape. Through one-on-one conversations, career mentoring, and participation in department-wide events, Experts offer students invaluable perspective and guidance. They also attend final research presentations to provide thoughtful feedback, and may lead workshops that draw on their specialized experience—cultivating a dynamic environment where students can learn, grow, and launch their careers with confidence.

Our alumni are dynamic arts leaders who turn creative passion into meaningful impact. Working across major cultural institutions and innovative community initiatives, they connect artists and audiences, champion diversity, and strengthen the performing arts through thoughtful management and vision. Their achievements reflect the program’s commitment to shaping adaptable, forward-thinking leaders in an evolving arts landscape.
