Undergraduate Internships (MPAMB-UE 1320)
To be eligible for the Music Business Internship course (MPAMB-UE 1320) you must:
- Be an undergraduate with a declared major in Music Business
- Be in good academic standing with the department and university (no academic or disciplinary action on record)
- Have completed 2 semesters in the program and 2 Music Business Specialization Courses (MPAMB-UE)
- Be of sophomore, junior, or senior standing
- Not have completed all 8 of the allowed Music Business internship credits
- If you are interning for credit for the first time, you must be approved to intern by the Music Business Internship Coordinator, Madeline Hutchinson.
For undergraduate non-majors, MPAMB-UE 100 Business Structure of the Music Industry must have been completed prior to registering for the internship course.
Credit Allocation
Undergraduate students may earn a maximum of 8 academic credits through MPAMB-UE 1320 (with a maximum of 3 credits per semester). Internships are offered for 1-3 credits per terms and graded on 4-point scale (A, B+, C-, etc.).
Graduate Internships (MPAMB-GE 2301)
To be eligible for the Music Business Internship you must:
- Be a second-semester or later graduate student in Music Business.
- Be in good academic standing with the university (no academic or disciplinary action on record).
- If you are interning for credit for the first time, you must be approved to intern by the Music Business Internship Coordinator, Madeline Hutchinson.
For graduate non-majors, we recommend that you have taken at least one course in the MA program.
Credit Allocation
Graduate students may earn a maximum of 3 internship credits towards their degree.
