Research Description/Bio:
Ana I. Ramírez Rojas is a researcher whose career began in government and nonprofit sectors in Argentina, where she led urban development and social integration policies in informal settlements before transitioning into developmental research. She holds a law degree from Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires and a master’s in Human Development, Research, and Policy from New York University. At NYU, she works with the Vice Provost for University-wide Initiatives, analyzing data on cross-cutting programs and supporting community-engaged research, and with the Culture, Families, and Early Development Lab, where she studies family math engagement among immigrant and Latine families and home-based caregivers. Her research examines how caregivers’ beliefs, experiences, and confidence shape early math learning, and she is beginning to explore peer-to-peer interactions in Latine communities. Broadly, her goal is to develop culturally responsive, equity-focused frameworks that inform interventions and policy.
