Yige Xue began playing the piano at the age of four and has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall (New York, NY), Lincoln Center (New York, NY), the Berlin Philharmonie (Berlin, Germany), and Solitaer Hall and Viennese Hall in Salzburg, Austria. In 2012, Yige was admitted into the Pre-College of Mozarteum University in Austria, where she studied piano with Imre Rohmann. In 2014, she was admitted at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, where she studied piano with Alexander Korsantia. In 2018, she was admitted to study under Prof. Dang Thai Son and prof. Stanislav Ioudenitch at Oberlin Conservatory. Yige Xue is studying under prof. Eteri Andjaparidze.
Yige has won top prizes in national and international competitions. Most notably, she was awarded the first prize winner of the Hong Kong Asia Piano Open Competition, winner of Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford and Tureck Bach International Competition. Recently, she has been awarded finalist and second prize winner of the YoungArts National Arts Competition, and second prize in the Nashville International Piano Competition. Yige is an active concert performer in China, where she collaborated with Hangzhou philharmonic orchestra, Zhejiang symphony orchestra, and Shanghai symphony orchestra.
