Rebecca Kenigsberg

Educational Theatre Adjunct Faculty

Rebecca Kenigsberg is a theater educator, practitioner, and administrator dedicated to using artistic practices to break down barriers, cultivate belonging, and foster personal growth and collective transformation. As a community-engaged theater practitioner and educator, she has worked with communities of all ages around the globe using creative play to support participants as they explore their unique stories and harness their power as change agents. Having trained extensively in the Theatre of the Oppressed at Centro de Teatro do Oprimido in Brazil, she infuses a non-hierarchical and reciprocal learning approach in her work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from UCLA and a Master of Arts in Arts Politics from NYU. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Theatre at NYU while working at The Public Theater and Brooklyn Arts Exchange.
