Osman Osman's research focuses on the sociology of news media and political violence. He specifically examines how African news media organizations interact with social structures when constructing terrorism narratives for its audiences. Osman has worked across the continent covering terrorist events for Al Jazeera English, CNN, Quartz, among other national, regional, and international publications. His journalism experience across the continent lays the foundation for his intellectual pursuit of the construction of narratives surrounding terrorism in Africa. Osman has a master's degree in Media Arts and Sciences from The Media School at Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the United States International University-Africa.
