Marni Vassallo is the Director of Advising & Student Success for NYU Steinhardt. In this role, she works to support students, faculty, and administrators at both Steinhardt and NYU. She has almost two decades of experience working as a higher education administrator and has held a variety of positions in advising and student services.
Marni's research and professional interests cover commuter student engagement, student success and engagement, and best practices for administrators in Higher Education.
Marni co-created and has taught the Dean's Sophomore Honors Seminar in the Higher Education Program since 2014.
She holds a Doctorate in Higher & Postsecondary Education from New York University, an MSED in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Binghamton University.
