Dr. Kondrashina joined NYU from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Goldsmiths College, where she worked as a lecturer and research center manager. Prior to her academic career, she was a fundraiser at the London Symphony Orchestra and a management consultant at Oliver Wyman and The Brattle Group for ten years.

Dr. Kondrashina holds a PhD in Cultural Relations and an MA in Arts Administration from Goldsmiths College, an MSc in Management from the LSE, and a BSc in Economics from the University of London. 

Dr. Kondrashina’s PhD dissertation explored the dynamic and often controversial relations between private and government actors within the global Cold War classical music recording industry, their effects on the cultural diplomacy efforts of the USA, UK, and the Soviet Union, and the economics of the music industry. Her current research focuses on  the role of material objects in international cultural relations.

In her role as an educator, Dr. Kondrashina prioritizes providing students with the knowledge necessary to understand and appropriately utilize AI for both scholarly work and professional application. She leads dedicated AI training sessions and participates in university-wide AI knowledge exchanges.
