With the support of the NYU Center for Faculty Advancement, the NYU Steinhardt Faculty Leadership Program was designed to cultivate leadership amongst mid-career faculty. Year-long programming is created in collaboration with Academic Impressions.
Purpose and Vision
The purpose of the NYU Steinhardt Faculty Leadership Pipeline is to:
Identify and provide high-potential faculty with the opportunities to cultivate their leadership skills.
Provide existing leadership with a pool of talented faculty for future leadership opportunities.
Diversify faculty leadership across different domains.
Engage with faculty participants in discussions of their interest in leadership and administration.
More broadly, shift the culture of service to one that encompasses both individual- and community-building.
