The Department of Occupational Therapy at NYU is constantly improving and updating our programs to keep our graduates at the forefront of the profession. We want to let you know about a few exciting changes we recently made to the Doctor of Occupational Therapy for Practicing Occupational Therapists Program (OTHS).

We created a variable credit program in which students can earn a post-professional OTD degree with 27-36 credits. This change may save you time and money. The variable credit option applies to students who have graduated from an ACOTE-accredited MSOT program within the past 10 years.

We've also updated our program of study to focus more on the skills you need to develop advanced clinical competence, professional leadership, and teaching in academia.

  • Study online, with options for on-campus and global learning experiences

  • Courses are offered in the afternoon and evening to accommodate your work schedule

  • Would you consider mentoring our students? You could be eligible to take courses tuition-free in exchange for supervising our students.

The application deadline for Fall 2024 is July 15.

RSVP for a 30-minute Virtual Information Session. If you have further questions about the variable credit program, please email occupational.therapy@nyu.edu.
