Recent graduate Sophie Manoloff will be joining the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof as the solo Trumpet/Flugelhorn chair. Monoloff, who just received her BM in Instrumental Performance, Brass Studies, and a minor in BEMT, received the Outstanding Performance and Contributions to NYU Brass Studies award. While on tour, which begins in October, Monoloff will travel to 55 cities. "This has been a dream of mine since my first day at NYU," Monoloff said. "I did not expect to land this job so soon, especially during a pandemic."
"I am so grateful to NYU," she notes, "especially for the Broadway Orchestra - it is through those connections I made and all the hard work I've done that I got this job!"
