The Office of Accreditation and Assessment serves the Steinhardt community by supporting the school’s academic goals and initiatives. The office’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the governance of academic policies and procedures, supporting curricular development and improvement, and directing student learning outcomes assessment and specialized program accreditation.
Our mission in the Office of Accreditation and Assessment is to maintain, enhance and promote rigorous academic standards in the service of students and faculty through high quality program development and on-going program assessment. We strive to be forward thinking and responsive to emerging educational innovations and we value creative solutions and data-informed decision making.
The Office of Accreditation and Assessment facilitates the development of courses and programs and oversees the submission and approval of course and program proposals on a school, university, and state level.
