Iannis Xenakis was a pioneering force in 20th-century music, recognized for the integration of mathematical principles into his works, featuring a blend of dense, chaotic textures and precise, algorithmic structures. Persephassa explores his fascination with spatial music and the impact of sound moving through space. Paired with this piece is Mauricio Kagel’s Dressur, which focuses on the integration of percussion and theatre. Conducted by Jonathan Haas.
