The Pirates of Penzance -- Gilbert and Sullivan's best-loved operetta - or is it a musical? Sparkling tunes accompany comic characters -- cheer on young lovers Frederic and Mabel, fear the "ferocious" pirates, marvel at the troop of bumbling policemen, and admire the high-born Modern Major-General -- or is he just a low-born windbag? Then join our good Queen Victoria as she presides over a very British Happy Ending.
