Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Broadway opening of the iconic Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning rock musical RENT, brought to life by the Vocal Performance Program at Steinhardt. This reimagined production will delve into themes of community, identity, and access to medical care, contextualized through the lens of the 21st century. Students, ranging from freshmen to doctoral candidates, will present this powerful narrative, enriched by a brief pre-show presentation and a post-performance talkback featuring cast members, student researchers, and content experts.
