NYU OT Students Present Original Research at Steinhardt Research and Scholarship Showcase

A lack of diversity exists in the profession of occupational therapy (OT), with the profession dominated by white females.

School bullying is a prevalent problem for students with disabilities, and OTs play a critical role within the school team to address this issue. However, there is a lack of research from the perspective of students with disabilities on how OTs should be addressing bullying.

The COVID-19 crisis had an immeasurable impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals of all ages, especially children. Due to social distancing and emergency measures, children’s daily routines and occupations significantly changed.

COVID-19 lockdown orders had a pervasive impact on the daily lives of individuals worldwide, resulting in increased social isolation, altered work and school patterns, and limited mobility.
