About the Taskforce
Our Department created the Anti-Racist Taskforce (ART) in 2020 to address oppressive practices and increase equity of underrepresented voices in our academic programs. OT students, faculty, and alumni are coming together to address changes in holistic admissions, inclusive curriculum, and student needs.

What is ART Doing?
The Anti-Racist Taskforce (ART) is an active coalition that represents all voices within our Department. ART meets regularly during the academic year to address departmental needs including, addressing student needs, improving holistic admissions, and connecting faculty to resources on inclusive curricula and classroom culture. In partnership with the NYU Chapter of the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD), ART coordinates and hosts events that support our goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

- Implementation strategies for NYU OT mentorship program
- Addressing issues of equity with OT honor society
