Research Description/Bio: Andy Chae is a part-time Ph.D. student in NYU Steinhardt's Sociology of Education program. His research focuses on the experiences of Asian faculty, administrators, and students at U.S. institutions of higher education. Before his doctoral studies, Andy earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston University.
Andy is also a student affairs administrator, currently serving as Assistant Dean of Engineering Student Affairs at Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. In this role, he works to foster a vibrant student life experience for graduate students across 11 academic departments and programs at Columbia Engineering.
