Research Interests:
I am generally interested in improving how the research community interacts with, engages, and supports immigrant children and families to inform policy and practice. Specifically looking at how to engage family and community voices to improve access to early care and education for immigrant children and families by evaluating and improving the implementation of policies, practices, and programs.
Career Goals:
I hope to work with organizations, foundations, and academic institutions to improve research with and for immigrant children and families to increase access to services and programs they prefer, need, and support their child’s development.
Why HDRP?
I chose HDRP - MA because, after working at a non-profit research organization, I felt that there were gaps and areas of improvement in my knowledge, particularly regarding my training in mixed-methods research and in my understanding of theories and frameworks to guide my work in social policy. HDRP offers me both the theory and the quantitative and qualitative research skills to better assess and produce research and policy recommendations in early childhood development.
