The 42- to 60-credit Doctor of Education (EdD) degree program in educational leadership and policy studies will equip you with the analytical tools and research background to effectively serve in senior education leadership and policy positions. You’ll explore contemporary issues in educational policy with an emphasis on pursuing a leadership position in the practicing profession.  

Core Course Sequence

Your research will focus on the intersection of theory and practical application, analyzing current practice issues, encouraging collaboration with professors, school administrators, and fellow doctoral students in a dynamic learning environment. You’ll take an administrative core that includes courses in educational reform and leadership, organizational theory, and educational policy analysis. This core coursework is supplemented by individualized research into educational leadership, culminating in a written dissertation.
