Individual Counseling: Theory and Process

Review of classical and contemporary theories of counseling from major counseling traditions. Addresses application to social and emotional development children, adolescents and adults with a focus on view of human nature, and normal and abnormal personality development. Introduces students to the evidence-base for the various theories and to the contribution of neuroscience to counseling. Reviews the application to school and mental health settings.
