Games and Play in Education

This special edition of this course will focus on designing playful learning exhibits for the New York Hall of Science. Introduces theories of learning, learning through play, & the role of technology in education. Students will encounter a wide variety of game genres through critiquing & playtesting current & historic videogames. Students will do preliminary game design with history, theory, learning outcomes & learner characteristics in mind.
