This course will address the development and implementation of curricula and instructional strategies for special education teachers to meet the academic and socio emotional needs of the children with disabilities in elementary and secondary environments, including classroom and community. The course also focuses on methods for collaboration among teachers, parents, and other professionals, including participation in IEP development. Frameworks for universal design and differentiating instruction will be used to support methods of instruction.
