Exploration of the playful element in personality, culture, and artistic creation. The method is experimenal-participatory and cross-cultural. Playful modes of activities include improvisation, masquerading, misrule and celebration as well as the ritualization of simple pastimes and games. Work with the symbolic potential of found-objects and primary materials. Classroom includes movement, vocal expression, plastic construction, and enactment: the finding of various playful personae like the fool, the clown, and the 'philobat.'
