Content Seminar in Research in Instructional Technology

Critical analysis, supported by readings, of selected contemporary research issues & problems, theories, & methods in instructional media & technology. In addition to common readings, students identify & individually research articles related to their research interests & critically assess the studies. They also learn a statistical software program to anchor a conceptual understanding of the primary statistical procedures. The major task is to develop a research proposal that should inform the direction of their candidacy papers & serve as an initial draft of their dissertation.
