Career Counseling

Reviews the major concepts of vocational development of individuals from diverse backgrounds, and prepares counselors to engage in career counseling across the lifespan, with focus on career guidance programs in educational settings (P-12 and College). Theories of vocational development, career choice, career interventions, use of career assessment instruments, occupational and labor market information, and the relationship of career development and mental health, including the interrelationship between work, family, relationships, culture, and community issues.
