Rebecca Ashley is currently the lower school drama teacher at the Convent of the Sacred Heart School in Manhattan, where she teaches grades K-4. There she is a facilitator for Critical Friends, a professional development program for teachers aimed at examining student and teacher work in a constructive, peer-led environment. For the past five years, Rebecca has worked with In+Addition, where she contributes research to the arts component of a community-based math and problem-solving research initiative sponsored by St. John’s University. She was formerly the Associate Director of In-School Programs at Wingspan Arts, and spent five years as a professional actor. Rebecca received her B.A. in Acting at the University of Northern Colorado, her M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU Steinhardt, and recently attended Project Zero through the Graduate School of Education at Harvard’s Summer Institute.
