Meryl Sole, Ed.D is a music educator, researcher and french horn player. She holds her doctorate in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as a masters in Brass performance from Boston University and a bachelors in Music Theory and Music History from the University of Pennsylvania. Meryl has held full time music faculty positions at The University of New Haven, Bergen Community College, and SUNY Empire State College. She has also taught at Adelphi University, New Jersey City University, and Nassau Community College. Meryl’s research focuses on early childhood music where she explores musical parenting and musical development through toddlers’ spontaneous “crib songs.” She also studies creative approaches in music theory pedagogy. Meryl's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences.
