With over 20 years in the field of education, Naureen has led higher education programs in Pakistan, East Africa, and across the Northeast United States. She has worked as a consultant, drawing on her research background, international experience, and community service experience to review educational programs.

Working with university faculty, education stakeholders, and international agencies such as USAID and Global Affairs Canada (formerly CIDA) she has designed and implemented programs that increase equitable access to education. She currently works at Columbia University, where she has created and facilitated several workshops on inclusive teaching and learning. She also integrates a transformative approach to teaching in her own classroom at NYU.

Naureen has a MBA in Educational Management from the University of Leicester, a MEd in Higher Education from the University of British Columbia, and a PhD in Higher Education from New York University.
