Alisha Brown Gandhi, MA, MS, CCC-SLP is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders. An alumna of New York University, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy. She earned her Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology with a Bilingual/Bicultural program focus from Teachers College, Columbia University. Alisha is licensed in New York State and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds her certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) with a Bilingual Extension in Spanish.

Clinical and teaching areas of interest include culturally and linguistically responsive assessment and intervention for pediatric speech and language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and reading and writing intervention in the school-age population.

Alisha has previously worked as a bilingual speech-language pathologist for the New York City Department of Education, NYS Early Intervention, and in the private sector, providing culturally and linguistically responsive diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adolescents, including multilingual learners, with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and emotional, physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.
