Jessica provides on-site and remote consultation services to support and empower SLPs on their implementation of neurodiversity-affirming therapy, integration of clinical goals into the classroom setting, and collaborative practices as members of multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, she provides guidance and support for implementation of Social Development Intervention, Nest's unique approach to providing speech therapy.
As a Social Development Intervention (SDI) Support Specialist, Jessica draws from her experience as a Speech Language Pathologist at private special education schools in Manhattan. She is dedicated to promoting accessible communication and inclusion by working closely with interdisciplinary team members. Jessica excels in supporting social communication using neurodiversity affirming practices. Her approach to therapy is informed by child-led, strengths-based methods and the insights of autistic advocates. She is committed to collaborating with each team member's unique perspective to provide the best support for Nest students.
Jessica is a licensed speech-language pathologist and a certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Pennsylvania State University and earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from CUNY Queens College.
