Steven Goldstein is an internationally recognized strategist, entrepreneur, and educator. As Founder and CEO of Amplifi Media Advisors and an adjunct professor at NYU Steinhardt, Steven sees around corners and makes sense of where media is headed.
At Amplifi Media Advisors, he provides strategic direction and paths to growth in audio and video. While working with Ramsey Solutions, The Ramsey Show became the first podcast to reach one billion downloads. Steven also helped ABC News launch its flagship daily news podcast Start Here.
In 2023, Amplifi Media Advisors and Coleman Insights conducted The New Rules of Podcasting on YouTube, the first major study of how people use YouTube for podcasts. They followed it with The State of Video Podcasting 2025, examining the expanding role of video in podcasting. Together, the studies showed how video is changing where and how people consume podcasts.
Steven continues to track how audiences move fluidly across formats and platforms. He translates those shifts into opportunities for creators and companies.
Before Amplifi Media, Steven co-founded Saga Communications (NASDAQ: SGA) and served as Executive Vice President as the company grew to more than 100 radio stations nationwide. His earlier career included programming and leadership roles at ABC, NBC, Capital Cities, Metromedia, and other broadcast companies.
At NYU Steinhardt, Steven developed The Business of Podcasting, the first accredited university course on the podcast ecosystem and its business models. Each semester, Steven brings the industry into the classroom through conversations with senior leaders from YouTube, Spotify, SiriusXM, Audible, and more.
Steven is a frequent keynote speaker and writes The Amplifi Thought Letter, a widely followed blog that explores what’s changing, why it matters, and where media is headed next.
