Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Charles Raffaele is a postdoctoral researcher in the CREATE lab. He completed a PhD in educational psychology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. His research is focused on digital technologies for learning (e.g., games, apps, multimedia), including particularly for second language learning. He is an adjunct instructor in the Educational Communication and Technology department at New York University. He has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy. He has presented at the annual conference of the American Educational Research Association, and been a first author or co-author for chapters on game-based learning, writing implementation in psychology instruction, and fostering self-regulated learning during remote instruction, and a report internationally comparing guidelines for children's digital media use.
