Social Development Consultant

Alessandra provides on-site and remote consultation services to support and empower SLPs on their implementation of neurodiversity-affirming therapy, integration of clinical goals into the classroom setting, and collaborative practices as members of multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, she provides guidance and support for implementation of Social Development Intervention, Nest's unique approach to providing speech therapy.

As a Social Development Intervention (SDI) Support Specialist, Alessandra draws from her years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a self-contained, District 75 middle school in the South Bronx. Alessandra is dedicated to ensuring accessible communication and inclusion through interdisciplinary and home-school collaboration. Her extensive experience in individualized robust communication systems and strength-based therapy is driven by her passion for disability justice.

Alessandra is a licensed speech-language pathologist and a certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from Long Island University, Post. Alessandra also completed her Speech Language Pathology Doctorate from Northwestern University in March of 2023.
