Eliza Stoner serves as Director, Registrar at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, where she has worked since 2007. In her role, she manages a team of Registrars, leads exhibition projects on behalf of Registration, and has supervised over 30 departmental interns.
Before joining the Guggenheim, Eliza earned a Phi Beta Kappa Honors B.A. in Art History and English from the University of Delaware, as well as an M.A. in American Decorative Arts, Design, and Material Culture as a Fellow with the Winterthur Museum/University of Delaware Program.
In addition to her years as a Registrar, Eliza has worked as a legal proofreader and transcriber of art conservation oral histories. She began teaching at NYU in 2016 in the School of Professional Studies and joined the Steinhardt School's Adjunct Faculty in 2021.
