Molly Perez, ED.M, provides on-site consultation services to guide and support middle and high school educators as they support the social and academic differences that students in the ASD Nest Program exhibit. Molly was introduced to the joys and challenges of working with disabled students when she volunteered at a school for the Deaf in Philadelphia. Upon moving to New York City, she taught at a private ABA program. After earning her Masters Degree from Columbia University Teachers College, Molly taught social studies and history for seven years to students in both special education and general education classes at a 6-12 public school in the Bronx. Molly then became the AP of Supervision at a charter high school. Most recently, Molly worked as an Educational Consultant for a non-profit in New York City supporting both public and charter middle schools and high schools. She mentored teachers, helped develop curriculum, facilitated co-teaching pairs, and assessed programs. She is interested in working with teachers and school administrators to address the impact of race and socioeconomic status on the classification of neurodivergent students and their academic outcomes.
