Ana Elisa holds a PhD in Music Technology from NYU Steinhardt's Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL) under the advisement of Dr. Juan Pablo Bello. She earned her Master in Music Technology from NYU in 2015, and a BEng in Systems Engineering at Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. Her research interests lie in the intersection of human-computer interaction and machine learning for solving machine listening problems. Currently, she is working on the Sound Captioning for Accessibility project at NYU with her research focusing on understanding human needs for captions of non-speech sounds.
