Elizabeth Marcus is associate director of Galerie St. Etienne and the Kallir Research Institute in New York. For over 36 years, she has worked with private collectors, museum curators and institutions to build collections both nationally and internationally. Her areas of expertise include Austrian and German Expressionism, contemporary art and design and fashion photography. Professor Marcus has taught at The School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, and Sotheby’s Institute of Art and worked at the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has lectured widely on the history of 20th century fashion photography and the history of 20th century design. She teaches gradute courses for the Visual Arts Adminstration program and the program in Costume Studies
Professor Marcus served as co-chair of the New 42 Youth Corp Committee in support of the not-for-profit New 42 Youth Corp programs. The New 42 Youth Corp programs employ and mentor high school and college students and promotes diversity in arts administration.
