Pamela D’Andrea Martínez is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban Education and an adjunct professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at New York University. Her research includes contending with social hierarchies at both systemic and instructional levels with a focus on locating and fostering belonging and pluralism in schools for immigrant youth and Latinx youth.

At the NYU Metro Center, Pamela is a researcher and a resource specialist for the New York State (NYS) Language Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network. In this role she works with educators in their professional learning of culturally and linguistically sustaining education for multilingual learners. 

Pamela holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Teaching and Learning from NYU, a Master’s degree in International Education from NYU, a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Florida, and she was a public school teacher of World Languages and Dual Language Two-Way Immersion.
