Unplugged Ensemble

Unplugged Ensemble exposes students and audiences alike to a wide variety of music within contemporary and popular music genres in a purely acoustic or minimally amplified context. Students collaborate in selecting, shaping, rehearsing, performing, and recording songs as an ensemble with opportunities for featured solos.

Who Can Join

Sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate level vocalists are all eligible to audition.

Credit

This ensemble can be taken for (1) or (0) credit. 

Audition Information

Please submit a video audition via this Google form no later than Friday, January 29, at noon. The video must be of you singing a song in any popular music genre of your choosing (no classical, musical theatre, or jazz please). Your performance can be a cappella or with acoustic accompaniment. Audition videos will be reviewed and ensemble spots offered on a rolling basis until filled. Those interested should submit ASAP. If necessary, callbacks will be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 1 and 2, in the evening.

Rehearsal/Class Information

This ensemble meets remotely on Mondays from 4:35-6:35pm or Tuesdays 4:35-6:35pm. 

Performances and Concerts

For Spring 2021, this ensemble will focus on producing recordings only.
