Accra: Courses and Electives

The Teaching and Learning pathway at NYU Accra provides you with coursework you need while providing experiences unlike any other.

• We offer your required Human Development courses, which are designed to provide important knowledge about the psychological development of students in your certification area. To take advantage of this pathway, you’ll register for APSY-UE 9020, and may also take APSY-UE 9021, APSY-UE 9022, or APSY-UE 9023, depending on your course of study.
• You’ll have the chance to take a variety of electives and core courses that enhance your experience and relate to your content specializations.
• You can also take up to two classes at the University of Ghana–Legon, studying alongside West Africa’s top students.

Study at NYU LONDON

At NYU London, you’ll learn about international education while improving your knowledge of curriculum, how schools work and how teachers teach, and the challenges that teachers and students face in urban schools.

• Gain real-world experience in the British education system through a fieldwork experience.
• Take advantage of our special relationship with local schools to complete 25 hours or more in-school.
• Enjoy a wealth of courses that explore the culture, museums, architecture, and theatres of London.

London: Courses and Electives

At NYU London, you can work toward completing your degree while exploring an education system with unique challenges and opportunities.

• We offer your required Human Development courses, which are designed to provide important knowledge about the psychological development of students in your certification area. Student Life

Our on-site staff will provide support for you during your time abroad. We’ll help you connect with your host culture throughout your stay with orientation, trips, student clubs, and language exchanges. Housing is guaranteed to all students and will vary by location.

While we only offer access to educational classrooms at NYU Accra and NYU London, you can choose to study at any of NYU's global locations. We offer many core, liberal arts, and content elective courses abroad that allow you to explore your interests across continents and cultures.
