The NYU Senior Leaders Fellowship will provide a select group of mission-driven leaders with the opportunity to participate in a new leadership development program that is designed for leaders who desire to: deepen their awareness and usage of adaptive leadership approaches, engage in reflective practices and expand their connection to other visionary leaders reshaping the field of education. This innovative program will enhance the leadership and management abilities of individuals working in schools, social enterprises, private industry, and government who are committed to reimagining education. This eight-month leadership development program with a cohort of cross-sector leaders will offer a one-of-a-kind experience offering a comprehensive agenda that:

  • Explores and shares best practices and strategies for leaders working in complex, ever-changing environments

  • Provides practical advice enabling participants to adopt new leadership strategies that leverage adaptive leadership techniques, new research, and insights on leadership and strategies to create, manage, and lead collective impact partnerships

  • Includes sessions to be facilitated by NYU faculty, executives, and thought leaders from diverse sectors and backgrounds

  • Creates time and structure for leaders to reflect upon and assess: (1) their approach to leadership as evaluated by themselves and their colleagues and (2) their own assets and developmental areas

The NYU Senior Leaders Fellowship will utilize diverse methods and tools to accommodate a variety of learning styles including the following activities:

  • 1st Convening of Fellows: A two-day virtual convening for all Fellows that will be held via Zoom. (April 1–2, 2021)
