The NYU Executive Men’s Leadership Summit is an invitation-only, premier professional and leadership development experience designed specifically for diverse senior male executives and high-performing male leaders with executive potential working across non-profits, government, the private sector, and academia. The NYU Executive Men’s Leadership Summit will convene diverse male executives and senior leaders to provide a forum to enhance leadership competencies, share new insights, build networks and explore new, collaborative approaches to expanding the number and quality of life-changing opportunities available to individuals living in poverty from diverse backgrounds.
NYU has a long-standing and deep commitment to diversity and inclusion that extends beyond the borders of the NYU campus. This Summit will provide a unique opportunity to unite some of the most talented executive and senior male leaders across diverse sectors to engage in in-depth discussions about leadership, management, and diversity as well as reimagining a new way to think about creating opportunities to enable all individuals in society to succeed.
The NYU Executive Men’s Leadership Summit is a unique five-day event that will provide attendees with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn, grow, and be energized all from one of the most vibrant and visually inspiring landscapes in the world-the NYU campus in Florence, Italy. The Summit will enable 9 diverse senior male executive leaders to participate in a one-of-a-kind experience that will offer:
- A holistic agenda with topics including, but not limited to: leading and managing across sectors, maximizing critical research and insights in building, leading, and scaling high-functioning enterprises, and leveraging diversity as a valuable asset in the C suite.
- Sessions will be facilitated and guided by NYU Steinhardt professors, executives, and thought leaders from diverse sectors and backgrounds:
- Dr. Bernard Harris, a former NASA Astronaut
- Dr. Michael Lindsey, Dean, NYU Silver School of Social Work
- Lord Dr. Michael Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE; Member of House of Lords, UK Parliament
- Dr. Luis Ricardo Fraga, Rev. Donald P. McNeill, C.S.C., Professor of Transformative Latino Leadership, Joseph and Elizabeth Robbie Professor of Political Science, Director of the Institute for Latino Studies, and Fellow at the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame
- Opportunities to explore your surroundings and build connections with other attendees through facilitated activities and reflection exercises.
- 5 nights of private accommodations in the beautiful La Pietra Villa at NYU Florence (including a private tour of Villa La Pietra).
- 5 Breakfasts, AM and PM coffee breaks, 3 buffet lunches, a first-night event cocktail reception with dinner on the Villa grounds, a second evening dinner in downtown Florence. Meals during our free time are not included as you will have the freedom to venture away from the group or join with other attendees for those meals.
- Private guided tour of the world-renowned Uffizi Gallery.
- We have organized a visit to Nipozzano in Tuscany for a day of wine tasting and a tour excursion.
The 2023 NYU Executive Men’s Leadership Summit will take place from the evening of September 18, 2023, through the afternoon of September 23, 2023, and the cost to participate is $7,000 per attendee.
What is not included
- Airfare and transfers to the Villa
- Meals during free time
- Travel insurance (optional and left to the discretion of the attendee)
- The cost of our day excursion to Nipozzano IS included, however, time in Nipozzano will be unplanned to allow attendees to explore and indulge in the culture in whatever manner they prefer. This means attendees will also be responsible for making and paying for their dining decision, with recommendations provided by NYU staff.
