Yalda (she/her) is a New York State licensed special educator with two masters degrees in Cognitive Science and Language from University of Barcelona and ID/Autism from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a certified S2C (Spelling to Communicate) practitioner. She uses Assistive Technology to teach purposeful motor skills for spelling to nonspeaking/minimally speaking autistic individuals. She has taught in New York City public and private schools, and has worked with international schools in Europe and Asia. Her research interests are in culturally responsive teaching, and disability justice.
