Reginald Spence manages a portfolio of graduate, faculty-led study abroad programs and other international initiatives. Before joining NYU, he worked at Pace University as an Education Abroad Adviser preparing students for successful participation in study abroad. Before that, he participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program as an English Teacher in rural Tome, Miyagi Prefecture where he taught English at several schools and promoted intercultural activities with locals. He remains an active member of the JET Alumni Association of New York, where he continues to promote strong ties between the U.S. and Japan at local government functions and community outreach, and alumni events. Reggie holds an M.A. in International Education Management, from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, earned his B.A. in East Asian Studies from the University at Albany, SUNY, and studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan.
