Linnie Green, Visiting Assistant Professor, has a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU, a M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College.
Dr. Green's previous research has focused on on a commitment to identifying and supporting neighborhood, school, and family strengths in low-income, ethnic-minority communities using empirically-sound research methods. Her research on intervention and measure development has been published in journals such as Early Childhood Research Quarterly, Journal of Evidence-Informed Social Work, and Journal of Educational Psychology. She has taught courses on diversity and cross-cultural issues and play therapy.
Prior to joining NYU, Dr. Green served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Boston College School of Social Work. While at Boston College, Dr. Green was named an Early Career Scholar by the School Psychology Research Collaboration. She continues to work in private practice with both children and adults.
