Johanna S. Tramantano

Teaching and Learning

Johanna is a doctoral student at NYU Steinhardt in the Teaching and Learning Department, focusing her studies on literacy education. Johanna has experience as an educational consultant in New York City schools and has also served as the Director of Social Studies, Literacy, ELA and Reading for a large urban district for grades K-12. Johanna has over eighteen years of experience in education and has served as a teacher, literacy coach, and assistant principal. Her research interests are in disciplinary literacy across the content areas.
