Francynne Pomperada is a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP), who specializes in pragmatic language, adolescent development, and executive function. As a Social Development Consultant, she provides on-site and remote consultation services to support and empower Nest SLPs on their implementation of neurodiversity-affirming therapy, integration of clinical goals into the classroom setting, and collaborative practices as members of multidisciplinary teams. She provides expertise and guidance on the implementation of Social Development Intervention (SDI), Nest's unique approach to providing social communication therapy.
Francynne draws from her experience as a speech-language pathologist, including prior work within the public schools in the Greater Boston area. Her background includes collaborative practices in special education programs that support Neurodivergent learners in their most inclusive settings. She has also provided speech therapy in private practice, leading interest-based, neurodiversity-affirming therapy groups. Francynne is dedicated to promoting social communication skills through neurodiversity-affirming approaches and valuing the perspectives of autistic advocates. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes autistic student interests and fostering self-awareness, empowering students to become effective self-advocates and problem-solvers in their daily interactions. She also places a strong emphasis on the value of each team member’s unique insights when considering how to best support Nest students.
Francynne received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University. She then received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University.
