Clotilde Santana-Eccardi has served as a Resource Specialist for the Statewide Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBE-RN) at NYU since 2015. In this role, she manages the CR Part 154 ELL Parents Hotline, offering critical support to families of English Language Learners (ELLs) across New York State. Additionally, she actively collaborates with the Spanish Embassy, particularly the Instituto Cervantes, to promote Spanish language and cultural initiatives.

Before her work with the RBE-RN, Ms. Santana-Eccardi dedicated 32 years to the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) in multiple capacities, including paraprofessional, bilingual teacher, District Parent Liaison, parent engagement specialist, and Evening Continuing Adult Education Bilingual Coordinator. She also served as a Multilingual and English Language Learner Instructional Specialist (ELLIS), supporting a region that encompassed three school districts. In that capacity, she worked directly with principals and teachers to ensure instructional compliance and facilitate staff development for district-level initiatives.

Ms. Santana-Eccardi culminated her career at NYCDOE as a High School Assistant Principal of Administration and Organization, a position she held for seven years before retiring in 2011. Her passion for education continued beyond retirement, as she went on to work as a consultant at the Center for Integrated Teacher Education, specializing in services for ELLs, and as an Adjunct Professor at Touro College for more than six years.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College, a Master of Science in Early Childhood and Bilingual Education, and a Professional Diploma in Supervision and Administration from Long Island University. She is currently completing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Leadership, nearing the final year of her doctorate studies.
